This Privacy Policy explains how Baya Ventures Pty Ltd ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use IslamIQ ("the App").

1. Data We Collect

• Account information — display name, email address (if you register), and country (if you choose to set it)
• Quiz progress — topics practiced, sets unlocked, scores, streaks, challenge results, and leaderboard rankings
• Device information — device type, operating system version, and app version for diagnostic purposes
• Push notification token — if you grant notification permission, we store your device push token to send streak reminders and progress updates
• Usage data — feature interactions and session events (e.g. challenges completed, sets unlocked, ads watched) used to improve the app
• Purchase data — subscription status and premium membership managed via RevenueCat (we do not store payment card details)

2. How We Use Your Data

• App functionality — to save your progress, credits, streaks, and unlocked content
• Leaderboard — your display name, score, and country flag are shown on the global, weekly, and monthly leaderboards
• Push notifications — to send streak reminders and weekly progress summaries (you can disable this in your device settings at any time)
• Analytics — to understand how users engage with the app, identify issues, and improve content (via PostHog)
• Advertising — to serve rewarded video ads via Google AdMob (limited to 3 per day); ad interactions may be used by Google for ad personalisation
• Support — to respond to support requests and bug reports

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

• Supabase — database and authentication (supabase.com/privacy)
• RevenueCat — subscription and in-app purchase management (revenuecat.com/privacy)
• Google AdMob — rewarded video advertisements (policies.google.com/privacy)
• PostHog — product analytics including user identification, event tracking, and app lifecycle events (posthog.com/privacy)
• Expo — push notification delivery (expo.dev/privacy)

4. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing [email protected]. We will process your request within 30 days.

5. Children's Privacy

IslamIQ is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the effective date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
